Spring 2010 makeup up trends--Days 3/4

1-Erin Wasson x RVCA:
Erin Wasson x RVCA- I've known Erin since she was 17 and she always had such an individual style.  I remember going shopping with her once and she was wearing a full length strapless evening gown with sandals, in the daytime!  And she turned heads and was owning it!
The makeup for her show was stunning with a wash of bronze on the eyelid and heavy eyeliner inside the waterline.  Sunkissed cheeks and a nude mouth completed the look.

2- Vivienne Tam:

Lashes! top and bottom lashes.  The bottom strips were placed slightly under the lower lid to make the eyes look huge!  Girls looked like dolls.  Perfect loook for all the color/details in her clothes.
3- Rag and Bone:

Gorgeous "Edwardian" look.  Again a wash of bronzy brown (seems to be a big trend for Spring)  but only above the crease and on the bottom lid.  The top lid gets left clean by using a gold color on it.  Mascara was kept at a minimum and again light, fleshy lips.
"I'm creating highlights and shadows on the whole face," said Revlon lead makeup artist Gucci Westman of the look.  She layered a cream shadow and a shimmering gold shadow close to the lashes to intensify the natural highlight around the eye, then used a dark brown matte shadow smudged underneath the lower lashline and over the entire lid.
4-Alexander Wang:

Super, super natural but click on the picture if you can't see.  The eyebrows were penciled in to make them look fuller!  The girls all had those braids... Vintage European farmer loo?  Brooke Shields in "Blue Lagoon?"
Brows were drawn in using a pencil with strokes that feathered up and out. “He (Wang) wanted the girls to look really strong and beautiful,” said makeup artist Diane Kendal working on behalf of MAC Cosmetics. “It was about achieving a look without using too much makeup. The eyebrow is a good way of doing that and still giving a boldness to the face.” The rest of the eye was left bare, except the tops, where a clear lip gloss was applied for shine. The look for skin was clean. MAC’s cream blush in Lilicent was applied to the apple of the cheeks for a peachy glow, and the brand’s Select Cover-Up Concealer was used only where needed.
5- L.A.M.B. by Gwen Stefani:

Color!  There was colorful eyeliner placed right on the top lid.  Some girls wore bright yellow and some wore blue.  The color was slightly winged at the outer corners.
Few days left and some of the biggest names yet to come so check back...
