Spring 2010 makeup up trends--Day 2

September 11, 2009
1-Here's one of my favorite looks so far. Jason Wu. It's great that they gave a different version of a red lip depending on what the girl's skin tone was. The eyes were all the same but you can really see how warmer skins can wear reds on the lips. Look at these pictures, I have chosen them to show you the different types of girls and the intensity of the reds on their lips.
Great! and a very wearable look. From MAC...

Lucia Pieroni, who was working on behalf of MAC Cosmetics said about the look:
“All darker girls are getting the dark brown burgundy color, the blond girls are getting bright red, and all the others are getting a kind of deep, black currant-like one.”There’s not really any mascara, it’s just a softly contoured and shaped eye. There’s a little bit of a shimmer going on—and then it’s all about that great lip.Lucia Pieroni, who was working on behalf of MAC Cosmetics.

2-Another great look ws Nicole Miller. Here's an illustration from MAC's James Kalliardos:

And the finished look on the runway:
All that blue ( Marine Blue ultra paint stick with a wash of Freshwater eyeshadow all by MAC)
looks so well blended into the eyes and makes a great companion to the color in the clothes.

3- Cynthia Rowley. Great combination of eyeliner with color. Cool look for Spring and those cool bangs- great hair too!
Makeup artist Makky for MAC said that they used a palette of primarily bright pinks and purples. For eyes, fierce black eyeliner was applied first with a soft wash of purple eyeshadow above and no mascara to emphasis the eyeliner and create a young and dewy appearance. Soft highlights were applied to the cheekbones and nose and a light coat of lip balm to the lips to maintain a feeling of youthfulness.

Day 2- Glad to start seeing some color. Love the lips at Jason Wu!
