Cholas rule at Jean Paul Gaultier!

Paris October 5, 2009- Jean Paul Gaultier's Spring 2010 show featuring airbrushed tattoed models.  The inspiration?  the movie "La Vida Loca".
I am from El Salvador and know what these gangs or "maras" stand for; however I do love Fashion and I'm all for individuality and the choice of having tattoes so I welcome the look.  I just hope that people understand the meaning behind these tatooes and how the models in the show can just wash them off and are not "forced" to be labeled like some of the "mara" girls are...
As far as the makeup- very pretty eyeliner and bronze lids. Hair? side pony with "ghetto" hair extensions-- boy I'd have loved to have been present during their hair and makeup meeting :)!
Anyhow, here are some shots taken backstage.
