Our beautiful tablescape for 2 included luxurious lamour linens, mirrored place settings, clean lines and gorgeous floral centerpieces set against a backdrop of natural wicker rounds. We loved the idea of using non-traditional seating, and decided to incorporate wooden bar stools that have the form and structure similar to that found in Asian architecture.
Our buffet tablescape was set on a round table and included a variety of mouth-watering Asian appetizers. With the popularity of dessert buffets and the predictable symmetry typically found in them, we decided to do go in the complete opposite direction, and instead played off the roundness of the table and chose elegant savory foods and not your typical cutesy, sweet dessert treats.
We also designed a sculptural floral centerpiece that could easily be incorporated as an escort card tree, or a tree for hanging well wishes for the newly married couple. We love the Bonsai tree feeling of this floral centerpiece and the look of it’s complete and miniature landscape.
Lastly, we designed a tea ceremony for the couple. A traditional and symbolic ceremony in the Asian culture, we designed the tea ceremony setting with beautiful and rich burgundy silk cushions, and a stunning embroidered Asian tea chest.
All of the elements found in this shoot can be customized and tailored for any special event. We absolutely love the Asian aesthetic and the emotion these photos evoke of simplicity, romance and love.
We hope we have inspired you to see the potential of inspiration everywhere you may be. In this instance, it was a beautiful ad by a very talented fashion designer. If you are planning a wedding, we encourage you to be bold, be different and not to shy away from those things that will make your special day your very own. There’s a lot of trends in the wedding market today focused around vintage elements. While we love that entire aesthetic, we also like being different. Besides, that’s EXACTLY what we are. Expect to see a lot more new and exciting things from MOOD this year including an infusion of cultural flair and flavor. Just wait and see!
