Brazilian supermodels move over- Las Argentinas are here!

Don't cry for them Argentina!   As pointed out by models.com last month, it seems that a new generation of Argentinian models are taking over the runways.   Flo Genaro, Cecilia Mendez and Milagros Schmoll are a few girls who have been hitting the catwalk, magazines and advertising for some time.  But it is the new batch of gorgeous Latinas who with their mixed ethnic looks are tearing it up in the Fashion world right now.

For a while now, Brazilians have been the hot thing and lately we 've seen a lot of Eastern European girls getting the work.  But in the words of Mrs. Klum "in Fashion one day you are in and the next day you are out"  So girls, enjoy your success while it's here.  I love it because it showcases Latinas!

Here are a few of my favorite Argentinian girls right now:

Tetyana (Marilyn NY Development) Started by Mayger Models in Buenos Aires she debuted on the NY fashion week by booking 15 shows! She is 16 years old.

 

 Tatiana (Tati) Cotliar. (Next NY) who OPENED the last Marc Jacobs show and shot the Spring 2010 Vivienne Westwood campaign.

 Dafne Cejas(Ford NY)-brand new and already shot for Italian Vogue and was an exclusive girl for the Givenchy show.  And that's Vogue's Grace Coddington on the right checking her walk!

Carla Gebhart (Viva-Paris) 15 years old and has already walked for  Chanel, YSL, Prada and Gucci to name just a few!

Antonella Graef.  (mother agent Hype models Argentina)  She opened the last Givenchy show in Paris.
