A latina opened the Spring YSL show in Paris yesterday. Go Joan!

Boriquas in the house!  Yes, the House of YSL that is-  Loved the show and the dramatic runway but it was so exciting to see Puerto Riqueña Joan Smalls as the girl opening the show.  She looked amazingly elegant and modern.  The makeup looks a little fall-like but it seems in Paris we've been seeing a strong lip that's not as orange or fuschia as in most other shows.  Congrats to the YSL team for at least using a couple of girls of color in their show (not the case in many of the others).  This was truly YSL style- when I had a chance to work on his show in Paris there were always girls of every ethnicity at his shows and I'm glad that they are still sticking to his worldly vision.
Congrats to Joan who has been tearing up the Spring runways and magazines lately..  Besos!!!
