As we all know from the influx of cake design shows these days, there are cakes and then there are CAKES. And while many are stunning and striking, I think we can all agree that this one is truly just beyond. The darling Audrey-esque model, the ever-so-chic pearls and some Chanel goodies to boot? Yes, please!
Submitted to Merci New York by Anne Heap of Pink Cake Box, this carrot cake with meyer lemon buttercream won the "Show Stopper" award at a competition called “Art of Cake Design” sponsored by the Somerset Art Association in Bedminister, NJ. Judges included Sylvia Weinstock and Colette Peters, and in fact, show buzz suggested that this was the best carrot cake some have ever tasted.
Imagine that?! Gorgeous design and great taste? Maids of honor take note- this may be the sweetest, chicest bachelorette or shower cake in Manhattan.
