Gloria Guinness-another Latina Diva

Gloria Guinness (born Gloria Rubio y Alatorre), was a Mexican-born socialite and writer who was a contributing editor to Harper's Bazaar from 1963 until 1971. She also was a member of the International Best Dressed List. Born in Veracruz, Mexico, she was a daughter of a Mexican journalist.

Her first husband was a German-born resident of Mexico named Scholtens, from whom she was divorced.  Her second husband was Franz-Egon, Count von Fürstenberg-Hedringen. By him, she had one daughter, Baroness Dolores von Fürstenberg-Hedringen and a son, Baron Franz-Egon Fürstenberg-Hedringen. Her third husband was Ahmed Fakhri Bey, a grandson of King Fuad I of Egypt. Her fourth husband, whom she married in 1951, was Group Capt. Thomas Loel Guinness, a Member of Parliament and a member of the extended Guinness beer family.
Guiness was dressed by Cristóbal Balenciaga, Marc Bohan at Christian Dior, Chanel, Hubert de Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent and shoes by Roger Vivier. She was one of the first persons to wear the capri pants by Emilio Pucci. She was photographed for Vogue and Harper's Bazaar by Cecil Beaton, Horst P. Horst, Slim Aarons and Henry Clarke. Artists like René Bouché, Kenneth Paul Block and Aleja Vidal-Quadras painted her.  Eleanor Lambert, the late founder of the Best-Dressed List, called Gloria Guinness "the most elegant woman in the world." Truman Capote simply called her one of his swans. He wasn't far off: The socialite and fashion plate had black velvet hair, strong brows, and a slender neck that won her comparisons to Nefertiti.  And she was a Latina who loved to vacation at her famous home in Acapulco!
