Smoky eyes paired with dark lips-can you wear it?

Which one of these two shots do you prefer?  The first shot is softer and much easier to wear as it is paired with a light pink lipstick, the one on the bottom looks great on the picture but it might look too overdone in person.
Another thing that's important to notice is how nice a shiny texture lid looks with the matte lip on the first picture; the other one has shine on the lids, cheeks and of course the gloss on the lips...
Overall, I like the makeup on both shots but I do think that the first shot looks best.  I really like the pinkish blush- notice how the lips are either pink or berry which is a nice compliment to the rosy cheeks.  For instance, if the lips were too orange-red then the whole look would be too much.
Love the texture on the lids-- try Loreal's shadow paint in Steely, there are other more expensive options but it can give you the same look for a lot less $$$$! (comes with the little brush)

Then you can use a gray-black eyeshadow on top of it to set it, you would want to use something with texture- my favorite is Smashbox "Envy"- it has the right amount of multi-colored flecks.  Apply it over the Shadow Paints and that's all you need for a wearable shiny lid look!
