Blush- cream, gel or tint?

Here's a shot from my portfolio in which I used a cream blush.  If you've never worked with one, try it!  Two tips, one is to blend evenly and the other is to use on clear skin (blemishes will look more noticeable when covered with a cream blush).

For this shot I used the Kevyn Aucoin cream cheek color in raspberry applied with my fingers.  I applied it over airbrushed foundation and then dabbed it on the lips over clear balm for a nice tinted look.

Below is this product as well as two other options I've tried before.  The "Mark" blush stick is very nice but the colors are not as bright.  The gel from Smashbox is awesome but make sure you try it on before you buy it.  Click on the links to see where to buy them...

"Mark" blush tint.  Goes on smoothly and is a great value at $7.  I like to apply it with the fingers so that the warmth helps to blend it better.  Don't be scared of the darker colors.  They are not as intense once applied.

And from Smashbox, O-Glow comes in only one color, well not really a color but its "Intuitive" feature is that it gives cheeks a nice "flushed" look and it works with all skin tones.  I don't think it would look so great on very dark skin but I've tried it on light to medium skin tones and it worked well.  One thing is,  you don't want to put it on on bare skin as it might be hard to blend.  Try primer and/or foundation underneath. $26
