Kat Von D-Tattoo concealer review

I finally had a chance to play with the Kat Von D tattoo concealer at Sephora.  While I was trying it a very nice sales girl came by and she said she loved it.  She had a big tattoo on her arm and proceeded to show me how it worked on her.  I must say I wasn't too impressed.
First of all, she had very light skin and her tattoo "sleeve" was dark.  She needed almost three applications to cover it and you could still somewhat see the tattoo in my opinion.  Also, the color didn't match properly and she said she normally had to blend a couple of shades.
Another problem with it is that it's not waterproof so depending on where you are using it, it could come off the skin really easy.
It does come in eight colors which is a great thing but still you might have to combine a couple to get the right tone.  Overall, I thought it was a good concealer for under the eyes or for blemishes but not really a great "tattoo" coverage.  I know I've covered other Kat products before and I do like them but not this one.
Available at Sephora for $25

What do I use?  RCMA professional palette.  LOVE this- great amount of pigment and it dries very quickly.  For tattoo or large area cover ups, I prefer a concealer that is a little more dry like this one (actually a foundation)  It was made for the stage and it might not come in the prettiest packaging but it works!  Find the palettes at makeupmania:
