5 minute Jessica Alba makeup! Is she the Latina Brigitte Bardot?

I love this shot of Jessica Alba because she looks naturally beautiful and the picture itself doesn't seem to have much re-touching, if any.  It's shot with natural light rather than elaborate studio lighting and captures her as she truly looks.  I wanted to post it to show you how you can achieve a similar look.

This look works best for chicas with big eyes like Jessica's.  Smaller eyes will tend to look even smaller when wearing too much eyeliner so adjust accordingly.

Here's what you need:

1- A neutral shadow that's about one shade darker than your skin tone
2- An eyeliner that smudges easily
3- Mascara
4- Blush
5- Neutral lip liner
6- Natural lip gloss

Here's what you do:

Apply the shadow on your eye lid and blend it just slightly above the crease, as in the picture of Jessica.  Don't go all the way to the brow bone, remember we're going for a natural look.  Then apply the eyeliner all around the eye making the outer corners a little darker and thicker and narrowing the line toward the inner corners.    Also, apply liner to the waterline, or inner rim for that beautiful intensity.  Make sure you find an eyeliner formula that lasts for you.  For some people even cake liners work better in the waterline but I prefer to use a dry pencil.  A special tip is to take an eye shadow brush and blend the eyeliner into the eye shadow, smudging it until the right intensity is achieved.

Apply mascara on top and bottom lashes and then blush as you normally do.  Fill the lips in with a lip liner.  Remember, this look is all about intense sexy eyes rather than dramatic lips, so find a liner that matches your lip tone.  Then finish off with a natural lip gloss.  A gloss with some gold specks looks great and adds to the radiance.

And just for fun, here's a picture of French 60's icon, Brigitte Bardot.  See the similarities?  Jessica's makeup is similar but only more updated... This look never goes out of style!
